Using Audio in Blackboard Vista:
Import Tracks from a CD

To begin, insert a CD into your computer's CD or DVD drive. If you are prompted, select to play the CD with Media Player from the list of programs. Stop the CD when Media Player opens.


Step 1: Open the Rip Tab

  1. In Media Player, select the Rip tab. You will see a list of all the tracks on the CD and the location where the files will be saved.
  2. Click on Rip Music. The Rip Options window opens.

Step 2: Select Rip Options

  1. In the Rip Options window, select the Keep my current format settings radio button for MP3 at 128 Kbps.
  2. Click OK. The ripping process begins.

Step 3: Tracks Are Imported

  1. As the tracks are imported, progress will be noted in the Rip Status column.

The imported files will be added to the location on your computer that you specified.

Step 4: Close Media Player

  1. When all the tracks are imported, the Rip window will clear and your CD will be ejected.
  2. Close Windows Media Player. You can now upload the MP3 files into your Blackboard Vista course.
